All CD players or drives share one thing in common - a special laser, which is used to retrieve digitally encoded information on the compact disk. This laser is focused by means of a small optical lens. Normal environmental dust and dirt can accumulate on the lens surface, distorting the laser beam and preventing it from properly reading the compact disk - causing skips, mis-tracking, distorted data or music.
The PerfectData CD Lens Cleaning System was developed to safely and easily remove performance impairing debris which can accumulate on the optical lens of a CD player or drive. "On-Disc" voice instructions and music explain the cleaning process while precision-engineered lens cleaning brushes wipe dust off the lens. Regular use can restore performance to a lens impaired by contamination.
